Everyone was right. The time went by a lot faster than I thought it would. =) Johnny will be home on Sunday. I'm so excited! :D I have like five frozen pizzas in the freezer for him and some of his favorite drinks and root beer float fixins (of course). As for my attempt to clean everything up and unpack the last few boxes we've been putting off and making the place glorious for his return... yeah, I fail. Hahaha. I definitely did some unpacking. The last big box of dishes and other kitchen stuff, all which needed to be washed and put away. So the counters got full of not-clean dishes to send through the dishwasher. Then there were most of our towels I've been needing, which resulted in a small laundry mountain. There's a whole mountain range of packing paper all over - the garbages being full. -.- I've been trying to get caught up. The dishes are getting fewer and fewer, but I feel like I'm just taking turns washing dishes, washing clothes, washing me, washing Zoe, washing dishes, etc... Sometimes I take a refreshing break and vacuum. xDZoe has been quite a li
ttle stinker and been playing with the water bowl a LOT. She spins it, knocks it over, punches the water with her paw... I've moved the bowl away from all carpeted areas (that was within the first week hahaha), off of the floor, and onto the bathroom counter pushed all the way back to the mirrors. She has met each challenge and done her best to make the entire house as damp as possible. (This has also resulted in a drenched Zoe most of the time, too, which she enjoys at all times except bath time for some odd reason.) So, I looked everywhere and found a spill-proof bowl on Amazon at last. The top edge curls over to keep the water inside the bowl. It is also ENORMOUS (though it was called a "pet" bowl I'm pretty sure it's for dogs, hahaha). It's like I ordered a kiddie pool for her. Hahaha. Neither cat likes drinking out of it and today I heard a horrendous crash. I don't know if she stood on the edge of the bowl or what, but she managed to knock it over and flood the bathroom worse than ever. So, the little plastic blue bowl with the rubber grip that seems to make things more fun is back in place. I give up. I'll just mop the bathroom 5 times a day until she gets past this stage (otherwise Miles can't drink at all and we've had him get dangerously dehydrated before and have to make sure he hydrates). Miles went through a water-obsessed time when he was little, just not to this extent. The worst part of it, though, is when I forget Zoe has always been playing in water and I end up kissing a wet kitty. >;P Ew.
Anyway - water venting over - I'm so excited to get my best friend back! I'm looking forward to shopping together and going on adventures to new places and watching our favorite shows. And eating together. Eating is much more fun when it's with someone. When I'm on my own, it becomes more of a survival thing. Hahaha. I hereby declare Sunday a holiday. ;) Bring on the celebration! Woohoo!

Yay! Sounds as if you've been doing a great job keeping yourself busy and occupied. I hope tomorrow...and many days after that...are full of fun for you and your sweetie!
I will be celebrating that holiday by getting my butt back to Ft. Bragg. I look forward to doing anything, everything, and nothing with you. See you soon, love. ;)
Enjoy being back together!
Yay! So glad time went more quickly and that you had so many projects to stay busy with. Enjoy your sweet reunion!
Ok first of all, I read this post and it made me hungry (all that talk of frozen pizza and root beer...what can I say? Sounds freaking delicious!). Secondly, I'm sooooooo glad the time didn't drag and that you and John are together again. :-) Lastly, I'm sorry Zoe can't seem to resist playing in the water (although it sounds really cute, despite also sounding like a lot of mess to clean up...). Our kitties never really did that. Unrolling toilet paper, on the other hand...oh yeah, good times.
