^_^

The kitties and I have gotten a routine for while Daddy is away. Their routine hasn't changed a whole lot: play/fight, sleep, eat/drink, play/fight, sleep, eat/drink... I gave Zoe a bath tonight because, being a kitten, she thinks the litter box can double as a sand box (and she had knocked her water bowl on the floor and gotten the bathroom completely wet already, so why waste a mopping moment?). That was fun. -.- I actually had to detach her claws from my shoulder to lower her into the water. I started to sing to her while I washed her and that helped her to calm down a little. I much prefer her baths to be a team sport though (Johnny holds the kitty while Mommy washes the kitty and sings hahaha).

Miles gave me a look that told me he now sees me in the same category as Jack the Ripper once I opened the bathroom door holding a giant towel with a Zoe nose peeping out of it. hahahaha Thankfully, Zoe does not hold grudges.
I also finally got my turquoise spider clock! =D

It's soooo cute! I love it.
Miles loudly mrawrs for John every night, much to the joy of my neighbors, I'm sure. xD But, Zoe is good at distracting him from his grief (mostly by hitting him on the bummy and annoying him enough to chase her around). And I pull up the blinds of the patio door's window every morning when the sun comes up so they can watch the squirrels and the birds (Miles barking at them and Zoe jumping up and down). And sometimes I share my cereal bar with them (just a tiny piece for each) and that makes them so happy. I love watching the happy-kitty-chewing. And they love to take naps on Daddy's blankets that smell like him. :) Miles is there now with his little arms stretched out and his chin flat on the blanket between them.
He really misses his Daddy.
Zoe gets more creative with her sleeping positions. Hahaha.

I can't be too sad looking at that cute little tummy!!! I miss Johnny, too, of course, but his blankets have lots of cat hair on them so I haven't been napping there. hahaha I look through our scrapbooks and stuff like that. :) And possibly wear his sweaters... ;)
So, things have been fine. I've been driving around just fine, running errands and going to appointments. I still get a little nervous on the bigger busy streets, but I think I've overcome my phobia. =) I'm proud of me. ^_^
And Johnny should be home in a week. This month has been really good. It's helped me to realize what things I hadn't thought about that need to be taken care of before he goes. Like making sure we secure me the power of attorney so I can make decisions for us in his absence. And that we need to take more pictures together (not having our friends and family around to take our picture has caused a sudden influx in kitty pics and a drop in us pics hahaha). And that we need to actually DO all the things we've talked about doing. Like going to the beach or trying out that cute coffee house near my therapist's office or having dinner at the different restaurants we've been intrigued by. =) Being apart is very difficult, but it helps us so we remember not to take our relationship and time together for granted. And believing me, I'm burrowing my face into his neck and staying there for days once he comes home. ;)

Your cats are so stinking cute! As is the awesome clock...LOVE it. I'm so glad that you've been managing to get around (not that I was worried) and that John's time away hasn't been too awful for you. Oh, and I totally hear you when it comes to digging kitty claws out of your shoulder when it's bath time. The first time I attempted to bathe Mariah by myself she freaking bit me. Not hard enough to draw blood, but it definitely took me by surprise. Fortunately now they're used to baths...they HATE them and cry a lot, but the violence towards me has definitely decreased. :-)
